Caedis
I enjoy building and designing high performance gaming computers and then putting them through their paces on the latest FPS such as Battlefield 2, F.E.A.R and Half-Life. In addition I love to play a good RPG or MMORPG. More importantly though I love my fiance and we spend time playing computer games together like World of Warcraft, yes she plays more than free cell!

What is with the names!?
People ask me why my names are so weird to say, let alone read. Simple, I don't like to be like everyone else, I prefer a more thoughtful call-sign.
Something more than <InsertRandomFunnyName><InsertNumber> ex:"DaPimp4263"
So I derive most if not all my names from Latin/Greek roots.
Daedalus- I love to fly, and I love to build things, just like the story of Daedalus

Caedis- A very obscure latin word that essentially means, blood bath/death. A very fitting name for me in certain games.

My favorite First Person Shooter games.
"Frag the weak... hurdle the dead!!"
The battlefield series has been my all time favorite multiplayer combat series since i played Battlefield 1942 years ago. Now I'm totally in love with BF2. I love the strategy, and skill required. Its not all just jumping a shooting, but you can do some of that if you're in the mood, which i love. Also, the ability to fly, and man vehicles is great. I only wish it didn't require such a beastly internet connection to play, or host a server on.
Gotta love great graphics and good ol' UT style CTF and death matches... and its free. Can't beat free. Also, its played in a lot of places as a tournament/ LAN party standard. So, why not get good at it so you can splatter faces at LAN parties!
A nice relaxing game, no its not all shoot em' up action, but you can kill people with robots you make, (I loved my erector set and Legos when i was little)
Yes, yes, I know... everyone plays it.... so what! I like the game, problem is that it gets too repetitive. I don't like doing simple CTF style play ALL the time! And yes, the game has good level's but it seems like people either make spin offs of the originals... OR totally wacky trash! So I get frustrated with CS:S very quickly... then I get back on BF2 and blow crap up.
From Single player RPG's to MMO's my top picks for RPG's of all flavors.
You just can't beat the graphics and the open play, i mean, come on! It's fun to not only make a really customized character but it's also great to just explore, and guess what.... you actually FEEL like your discovering new lands. There is so much to do in this game, i cant even begin to describe it all. Also, the infinite amount of mods available is astounding. Just when you have the game mostly beat, a new mod comes out that totally flips things around so you can tailor the experience to your hearts content. But, it is not for the casual player, as you have to have a true gaming rig to play it.... no integrated laptop graphics allowed! (Or you can be a punk console player and waste money with you thumb sticks)
I don't want to make this my top RPG yet, since it hasn't come out yet. But if they simply improved on the problems of Guild Wars (Instances, linear plot, no free exploration) then I know it will be amazing!
Not much to say that already hasn't been said, everyones favorite MMO. I just hate the grinding and cheesy graphics. Otherwise, the community really makes up for the lack of game coolness. So many people play it that you really feel apart of something bigger than just a game. That really is a lot of the allure of this game, is the people you meet and the places you go with them, very fun in that respect... but... at its core... lots of repetitive monster killing to be competitive, and i hate that.
Great graphics, I was taken back by the beauty of this game, then i was floored by the strategy. This game spoiled me on thinking, I didn't want to play any other MMO's for a long time simply because they could t keep up with Guild Wars' strategy aspect. I don't want to rely on how fast i can mash a button tied to a macro to beat a guy, i want to OUTSMART him. And this games PVP engine is second to none. Really, I'd think of this game as BETTER than WoW.. you just cant explore as much as you can in WoW.. and .. I HATE INSTANCES.. which this game is chocked full of. I am just waiting for Guild Wars 2 to come out. I think that will be my WoW killer.
I love how free this game makes you feel! You can fly, jump over buildings, or even run super speed! I always enjoyed the PVE aspect of this game, it was the best I've ever had, that and the team play was ingenious! You can play with friends who are well above or below you, and actually gain levels.... simply brilliant. Why can't more games do that??
Oh I loved this game! It got me hooked on RPG's to begin with! So much hack and slash. The hacking problem was a killer for this game, everyone hacked. Lots its value to me as a player from that standpoint. But other than that, a really fun game to waste your life on! (In a good way)
A good old school game. The death system is kinda lame, but the premise is great, Essentially the same as the Elder Scrolls Series. Operating on the principle of become proficient at what you USE rather than just leveling up and choosing powers. Really, this is the grand daddy of all MMORPG's. Good stuff.
