Chris Calef

I've worked at Garage Games officially since January 2006, although I've worked here unofficially as a contractor and intern and been generally underfoot since at least 2004. I've been working on a _super_secret_project_ pretty much since I got hired, which I'd love to tell you about, but then it wouldn't be a secret anymore, would it? Soon, very soon...

Otherwise, my resume is what your human resources director might call "spotty". I played with programming as a kid, got in deep enough to know I could learn it if I needed to, but decided I didn't want to spend my whole life being a geek. So, I started my undergraduate career at Whitman College with a music scholarship, picked up some Spanish, learned some botany, and ended up with a degree in Geography from the U of Oregon. Had some good times doing field research out in the forest, but in the end I turned into a computer geek anyway. Go figure.

The compelling rules that dominate my work life are "don't work with, for, or around people who suck" and "don't spend your life creating IP you don't own." GarageGames is perfect for me: everything I do here becomes part of Torque, which I will always be able to use later; and most importantly, every single person here is completely awesome to work with! (No exaggeration -- This Company Absolutely Rocks. Come and intern with us and you'll find out!)

Systems I Own:
There is hope, but not for us.
