Paul Warren

Born and raised Canadian.

My goal in my development is to dominate the user. They are to always play the game, if not, then in their mind. I pull the happy string, they become happy. I pull the sad string, they fight to keep the tears away.

Early on in life I learned I love to create. Whether it was maps of cities, stories or programs, I loved to create them. I later found I need three activities to fulfill my time. I usually have about a little more than a month's worth of time to spend before I must switch activities. All my creative juices in that activity would be squeezed out by the end and either I switch, or I become increasingly frustrated. I had two for the longest time. I recently found my third.

I try to keep of much of the weight I gain sitting at a computer 24/7 by playing hockey when I can.

For personal entertainment, I hold weekly LAN parties when my laptop is working. I play hockey and some of games listed in my overall favourites.

It's good to be bad.

The old spice guy said,
If you have it, you don't need need it. If you need it, you don't have. You need it to get it, and you certainly need it to get more of it, but if you don't already have any of it to begin with, you can't get any to get started which means you really don't know how to get it in the first place, do you?

Systems I Own:
Experience my creation. You don't play my games, they play you.

Christmas. Pffft. Buying gifts you cant afford because someone else is buying gifts for you which you don’t need. The only ones who can appreciate Christmas this way are the kids who rarely get anything to begin with. I don’t celebrate it traditionally anymore. What’s more, is anyo ...

My father has always been annoyed when I used the word “can’t,” or rather, the contraction. I guess he saw that as a sign I was giving up. I don’t quite remember as at that moment, I would usually tune out and roll my eyes. I was very negative then. Much has changed since tho ...

A fisherman, eh? I’m eating your friends. Lots of them. I pretty much need to in order to swallow. I woke up a few days ago with the start of a soar throat and only by eating the friends of fisherman would relieve me of my irritation. While it doesn’t hurt to talk, I sound [...] ...

Various things are now pulling at me in all different directions. Work, life, hockey, etc. I don’t seem to have any time to spend on my hobbies anymore. Or at least what time I do have, I don’t seem to get things done.  Sometimes I may have a fair bit of time, yet it vanishes [...] ...

I played a game a long, long time ago. The name has since been lost to me but I remember one of the phrases used within the game. “Make Haste but take heed.” They sounded like funny Old English words to me at the time but for some reason they always stuck to me. The [...] ...

Eagerly waiting for the following:
My first game. I want to finish it but I also want it to work well. Then I want it to become popular. Is that too much to ask?
I've been waiting for a while for an MMO to take a risk on breaking the current cookie-cutter mold.
I always liked playing a jedi, or sith. More force control powers woot. My favourite move in all force games was to throw enemies off ledges, usually in large groups >:)
Just saw the teaser today (Nov 30th, 2007), not much there but I was not expecting a Deus Ex 3 anyway. woot.
Such weird weird games. I think that's half the attraction to Will Wright's games.
Man how I loved the first one plus the expansion. I didn't care so much for multiplayer as I bought it for the singleplayer and the story. I'm hoping Blizzard doesn't disappoint me with this one... although they hardly ever do.

Career Summary

While I've had plenty of personal experience with Web Development, I still consider myself a beginner as I haven't had real business experience. Although I could possibly operate at a business level now, I have still yet to be "tested". That is coming as I may be starting my own business.
This is a list of overall favourite games. Most likely, I still have an icon on my desktop for these. As with the other favourite sections, Each game spans all in the series, the ...
