GarageGames was formed in 2000 by four former employees of Dynamix, specifically Jeff Tunnell, Rick Overman, Tim Gift and Mark Frohnmayer. GarageGames was formed with the mission of providing independent game developers with affordable technology and tools for their projects.
The site of GarageGames also offers supplementary resources, serving as a hub for independent developers who share a common interest to exchange ideas with and learn from each other.
