It may not be a genre, but my favorite group of games has to be shareware. Otherwise I enjoy RPG's, arcade games, adventure games (when I can find them), first person shooters (when they'll run on my computer), and strategy games of varying stripes. Although I used to play on GR a bunch, I've stopped using it because I discovered LAN games in college and not many people are playing AvP anymore, which is my online game of choice.

I'm currently a writer and general flunky at Inside Mac Games. I love shareware, RPGs, and shooters best of all, although I've been known to fall for a good strategy title as well.

My favorite games of all time are Prince of Persia (the original one), Dark Forces, the LucasArts adventure games (especially The Dig), Riven, StarCraft, Aliens vs. Predator, Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete, Neverwinter Nights, Gish, and Kill Monty to list the main ones.
