My Profile

I use Dark Basic Professional to program all my games. It's an excellent program balancing power and ease-of-use, just what I need. I model, program, design, and produce games, and am able to do 2D graphic art, although not very well.

I currently head a team of indie developers in the making of the game Pirates of Port Royale (web page being rebuilt). See below for more information. I also have a few other side projects that I'll list below.

Future Games/Game Ideas

Escape from Alendar
You escape from a near futuristic prison that your in either because a) you're a prisoner of war or cool.gif your government is corrupt and you're a political prisoner. I can't really explain my ideas about it, but it'd be either on another planet or in a desert, a maximum security, top-secret security, where you're have to figure out how to escape. Keeping to the style of my games, it'd be open-ended, your only goal is to escape the desert that surrounds the massive complex...alive.

Roman RPG [working title]
Based off of the same engine as Pirates of Port Royale will be made on, it will just be in Roman times. Same concept, different time period, new quests, new jobs, new story.

Ultimate Strategy [working title]
An ultimate, present day strategy game on a massive scale. You build a city, a country, and/or an empire. It doesn't take just 3 minutes for you to fly a plane across the map, more like 30 minutes (or more), but you won't be just sitting there, there's so much more that you could do. You could view everything from a house fire to a nuclear war. You rule the world. Or at least your country. Well if your country rules the world, you rule the world. You get what I mean.

Survival [working title]
A game based on surviving. You are lost, for whatever reason (plane crash, shipwreck, etc.), and you must survive off of what you have. This game was inspired by the survival shows I like to watch (Survivorman, Man vs. Wild, I Shouldn't Be Alive, and I guess you might say Lost), and I thought it'd be fun if there was a game where all you had to do was survive. There were no tasks that you had, you had to use your knowledge and instinct to survive. The environment would be completely interactive, from plucking grass to cutting bark off a tree. and roping logs together. You would have multiple "levels" to choose from (Pacific Island, Rocky Mountains, Florida Swamps, African Sahara, etc.), but each would be different every time, unless you decided to survive the same way. There would definetely not be only one way to do things, in fact there would be nearly infinite ways. It's a game of wit and instinct, it's survival.
