Jeff Tunnell

Will work for games...

Currently I am a co-founder of PushButton Labs where we are making an Open Source Flash game engine (PushButton Engine) and Flash games like Grunts: Skirmish. Before that I was co-founder of GarageGames and, before that, Dynamix a development studio for Sierra/Vivendi/Universal. Director, designer, or producer of over 70 titles including The Incredible Machine, Starsiege: Tribes, Trophy Bass, and the 3D Ultra line of family products. Here is my Wikipedia entry that I didn\\\'t even know existed until I needed to fill out this profile. Also, here is my Mobygames profile as well. I\\\'m a little older than the me in that picture now:)

Be sure to check out my blog, Make It Big In Games for more information about how to make a living in this crazy business. If you think it sounds cool to make games, then be sure to check out GarageGames or PushButton Engine to get the technology you need to make your game.

Outside of games I am in the process of starting Furrer Farms, a 200 acre organic farm. For fun, I ride motorcycles (Yamaha FZ-1 and YZ250F), play in a rock band Procrastinators, lift Olympic weights, and spend a lot of time with my family. You can see my personal blog at jefftunnell .

First of all, I'm not in your list of Awesome People, which is clearly an oversight :)

Second of all, RE: Warcraft 2, and playing it before multiplayer was cool, I can't think of anything in my life before or since that seemed cooler than playing WC 2 online. Good memories. Seeing as how my computer couldn't even come close to running it, I would travel to the inner bowels of Springfield to where I worked just to use that rawkin' 486 and it's 14.4 modem. Good times.

Speaking of rawkin', weren't we supposed to make some noise soon?

Woah, I may have to rethink that, these prizes are getting serious, and I admit I'm still eligible in one great category that appeals to me. This hamster will be back on the treadmill before this thing winds up :)

Thanks for the incentive, but I'd only feel like a hamster on a treadmill if I cared about that ;)

I don't even know what the algorithm for that is, exp sank like a rock after I was idle a bit, lol.

Hey Jeff, you said something about being a GGE section leader a few days ago, and I haven't gotten a reply. Any new info on that?

Oh wow! Now I find out on wikipedia that Jeff T. worked on the original Red Baron game! Is this true?

Just to fill you in, around the tender age of 5-6 I would play red baron every day for hours!

I guess I have to rewrite the description, it was just a list of features that are planned to be in the game, I already started development but I am not far at all, I just passed the planning stage and am on my way with the first prototype for LRX.

Thanks for the comment! Torsion very soon... final beta release in a few days and then it's gold.

And a game... yea... tell me about it. That's our primary objective for 2007... ship a freaking game already! ;)

This site is kicking ass. Still has some networking stuff to be worked on I think, but the ability to add games was really easy. I wish there was a way to link to off-site images and embed with word-wrap a bit better for the game pages though.

The other day I was talking with Garney about great adventure games on GTalk and found out that you worked on Willy Beamish.. I almost shat myself. I used to play that game a ton with my dad when I was a pup. Anyway, I wanted to say thanks for the good memories.
