Jiperly

Hi, I'm a huge gamer,and am interested in learning the codes and all that jazz....and this seems to be a good place to learn how...

So far, I've managed to get to one of the top contributors by posting series- I've posted, to the best of my knowledge, all Sonic games, Mortal Kombat games and Wario games, most Mario and Yoshi games, and some Pokemon games. At this point, even though I haven't added a thing in months, I'm still third overall in XP.....

Quote of the Week

Edward R. Murrow, 1954 said,
We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason if we dig deep in our history and doctrine and remember that we are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes which were for the moment unpopular. We can deny our heritage and our history, but we cannot escape responsibility for the result. There is no way for a citizen of the Republic to abdicate his responsibility

Game of the Week

Oddworld Stranger's Wrath
--------------------------

This game offers an unique experience, and strangely, despite being a shooter, encourages non-lethal force by offering far more money for capturing someone alive rather than dead. With Dozens of different weapons, and a unique duel gun control scheme, Strangers Wraths is very much about strategy, while at the same time allows you to jump into Third person view at any time and attack enemies Melee.

It has an unique environment all on its own, with a strange Wild West theme but appearing the Oddworld characters. And speaking of Characters, they are full of life in this game, with your character being a Clint Eastwood rip off that works excellently with the theme.

I really regret trading this game in, personally, and would have to recommend it(but then again, I did trade it in for a better game- Half Life 2 for the Xbox)

Games Currently Playing

Games I've played in the past week or so, in order of most time spent to least

This week's a lil different, cause I'm housesitting. I'm limited by the games I can bring....

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
----------------

[img=,center,large]

Yea, I finally gave in to my severe nerdom and actually woke up on a weekend and went to the stores as they opened to get a Wii. And what kind of uninformed Gamer would I be if I didn't get *the
  • game to get to for the Wii?
  • Honestly, I'm not far, but it seems I'm getting no where slowly. I've been playing for an hour, and only have a wooden sword and a slingshot- but this isn't my first Zelda- I will by far give it the benefit of the doubt...

    But damn my one arm hurts...

    Trama Center: Second Opinion
    ----------------

    [img=,center,large]

    Trama Center takes you inside the chest of people and has you poke around- using vaguely medical tools to solve what is essentially a puzzle game.

    Its kinda annoying cause the medical staff there is CONSTANTLY GRILLING ME.......seems like they all have one too many stethoscopes shoved up their asses....

    Its a great game so far, but I'm already stuck on the first mission of the second chapter.....I just can't figure out what they want me to do(or the first one in that alternative chapter, for that matter....)

    Plus, my right arm is strangely feeling alot more muscular than my left suddenly.....that....that kinda sucks....

    Galactic Civilizations II:Dark Avatar
    ---------------

    [img=,center,large]

    The game barely runs on this computer, and I keep getting warnings 2 hours in about how the game has used up all of the "Virtual Memory"- and then it stops saving. Also, all the ships come up in the primary colors you choose, not textures.

    But despite all this lameness, I am in love with this game. I managed to land smack dab in the middle of one of the densest groups of stars, but stars are relentlessly EVERYWHERE. Without a doubt, in the 30+ random map's i've played, this is about twice as much as the normal ammount.

    To make matters worse, I've upped the enemy AI from what I'm usually comfortable with, so with alot of them are making me sweat when it comes to expansion

    I am so excited to play that map some more...

    Wii Sports
    ----------------

    [img=,center,large]

    A really fun and quant game- it'll definately get people like my mom into the system, and the price is right. I just wish I had got the second Nunchuck for multiplayer boxing.

    In fact, at this point, the second controller simply doesn't connect....

    Pokemon Green
    ----------------

    [img=,center,large]

    I've fallen into a snag with the game. I promised myself I would get all the poke I can in the area(having screwed up in Mt.Moon and forgot to pick all of them up and explore before I left, with the backway blocked...) and level them up to lvl 15- some of them sucked a little more(Meowth, Radatat), some of them required a higher level for evolving(Pigey, Charmander, Magikarp), but the slow ones really started to drag on.....then I'd play, beat it, get them up, put the DS down and forget to pick it back up and save it before the battery died.....

    But yea....finally made it...... I'm on the St.Anne

    Then I put the Gameboy Advance down and forgot to save it

    I think I might have ADD....

    The Idiot

    The Idiot

    By Stan Rogers

    I often take these night shift walks when the foreman's not around.
    I turn my back on the cooling stacks and make for open ground.
    Far out beyond the tank farm fence where the gas flare makes no sound,
    I forget the stink and I always think back to that Eastern town.

    I remember back six years ago, this Western life I chose.
    And every day, the news would say some factory's going to close.
    Well, I could have stayed to take the Dole, but I'm not one of those.
    I take nothing free, and that makes me an idiot, I suppose.

    So I bid farewell to the Eastern town I never more will see;
    But work I must so I eat this dust and breathe refinery.
    Oh I miss the green and the woods and streams and I don't like cowboy clothes;
    But I like being free and that makes me an idiot I suppose.

    So come all you fine young fellows who've been beaten to the ground.
    This western life's no paaradise, but it's better than lying down.
    Oh, the streets aren't clean, and there's nothing green, and the hills are dirty brown,
    But the government Dole will rot your soul back there in your home town.

    So bid farewell to the Eastern town you never more will see.
    There's self-respect and a steady cheque in this refinery.
    You will miss the green and the woods and streams and the dust will fill your nose.
    But you'll be free, and just like me, an idiot, I suppose
