Moosader Games
I am a 20 year old Computer Science student at UMKC. I like to program games as a hobby, using C++. I've been using the Allegro game programming library for several years, and I started learning OpenGL this year.
I'm going to wait until I make something decent before posting it on here. If you want to see what I have worked on, you can check out my website or deviantart.
If anyone wants to contact me, my AIM name is "KadoLusikka" and my Steam ID is "LusikkaMage"

Aspirations
I'm interested in eventually making some educational games for grade-school ages. I'm also spending time with OpenGL this summer, trying to learn more about making 3D games (though mainly fixed-camera 3D games)Currently Playing
Unreal Tournament 3 (PC), Kya: Dark Lineage (PS2), Shinobi II (GG)Random project videos
About me
SchoolI was homeschooled until Fall 2002, when I started going to Longview Community College. I eventually got my Associates Degree in Computer Science and I am now currently going to the University of Kansas City, Missouri to get a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
ProgrammingMy first language was Basic when I was around 10, and I started using Visual Basic 5 when I was about 12. I started learning C++ in school when I was 14 and it is my primary language.
Otherwise, I have a small amount of experience with Java and JavaScript due to some classes using them.
I currently am fairly experience with the Allegro game programming library, but I am currently learning OpenGL, as I would like to make 2D and 3D games with OpenGL.
I am really interested in OpenSource, Freeware and Shareware game development.
HobbiesBesides programming, I also have a very strong love (obsession?) with video games.
I also draw a fair amount and try to make my own game graphics whenever possible.
I used to animate but quit so I could focus on programming instead.
I'm also an advanced pianist, but I don't play much anymore.
I'm horrible at writing and designing, but I like making games that are completely my own, for the sake of novelty.
I like math, like algebra and calculus, though I don't remember any of the Differential Equations I had.
Boyfriend <3
My boyfriend Brandon is also a programmer, using C++ with OpenGL and Glut to work on his 3D engine. :3
Taste in gamesPlatformers are by far my favorite. Spyro, Psychonauts, Graffiti Kingdom, Beyond Good and Evil, Oddworld, Super Mario World/Yoshi's Island, Cocoron are <3
3rd person action games. I like fast-paced games where you feel like you're controlling the person, like Prince of Persia, Metal Gear Solid, or Resident Evil 4.
First person shooters, FOR PC, that aren't particularly realistic or based on a world war (ie, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, Quake)
Action RPGs. Screw Final Fantasy (though I have played all the #'d ones besides 11), I ALWAYS prefer something more along the lines of Secret of Mana or Diablo 2. I DO like the leveling systems used in Final Fantasy games, though. Menu battles are just boring.
Off-beat games. Harvest moon, TrackMania, Toblo, Portal (Narbacular Drop)... I love games that are unique in some way.
MMORPGs. Ragnarok Online is my favorite, especially on player-servers with lots of friends, but I have also played EverQuest, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, Risk Your Life, Fairyland, and others. Still looking for a really good one.
Classics. I love Lode Runner, Jetpack, and a bunch of old DOS games.
90's Edutainment, lol. I grew up in the 90's, and I got to play games like The Incredible Machine, Hollywood, Math Blaster, and more.
LucasArts Adventure games. But those are basically the only type of adventure game I like. I did like Hotel Dusk, though. I also did play Kings Quest and Space Quest games, but never finished them without walkthroughs.
