I'm a college student majoring in Computer Science.
I have been studying game design in my spare time. While I focus mainly on programming and design, I also dabble in art and music. I have yet to create a game, but I hope to change this in the near future.
I am interested in most types of games, but seem to be especially drawn to the platformer and adventure genres.

Some of the games that have influenced me the most.
Great blend of genres. Great dialog, I love how different each of the alien races are. Music is also fantastic.
Somewhat flawed, but it did a lot of things right. I like the invention system and the georama engine. Another game with great music.
Brilliant graphics and music. It was too easy, but the amount of depth made up for it.
Keens 4-6 were the first games I ever played. I still consider them to be among the best platformers ever made.
Probably my favorite game in the Commander Keen series. Gotta love the robots.
ID decided to sell this game separate from Keens 4 and 5. I don't think they should have done so. Still, this game is in same league as 4 and 5.
This game had it all. Great gameplay, graphics, music, artwork, level design.
My favorite game in the King's Quest series. Great puzzles, nice game world. Dialog was somewhat cheesy, but that's just a matter of personal taste.
A long time in the making, but came out quite well regardless. Great dialog and game concept.
Superb conversion of a classic 2D series into 3D.
Interactive Fiction (text only). Great surrealistic game. Filled with memorable scenes and locations. I have more vivid memories of this game than many of the other games on this list.
Mindblowing. One of the best games ever made for any system. Nice secrets, fully realized game world, and a brilliant plot despite minimal dialog.
Fantastic first entry of Metroid in 3D. I was one of the few who actually thought Metroid would work with a first-person perspective and the game really came through.
Interactive Fiction game (text only). If you think IF is merely a low-budget adventure game without pictures this game could change your mind. Great puzzles that really use the genre to great effect.
