I rolled into mobile game design after buying my Sony F500. It came with some games, but the games on it actually were no fun. Having always loved games (mostly 2D ones) and always playing around with graphics and programming, I decided to try and make my own games. I have now designed, developed and did the artwork for 20+ games.
Oh and I just love Nintendo and the Wii ;)

| Game | What I Did | Difficulty of Development | Anecdote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Designer, developer, artist | Not Bad | Originally started as a snowboarding game, seeing as the release was closer to Summer, it quickly turned into something much cooler ;) The reaction based game was partly based on Skipping-Stone, a OneThumb game. Currently sketchy ideas for a follow up are being drawn | |
| Designer, developer, artist | Average | Trying to extend the gameplay ideas of RocketBoy2, while keeping faithfull to the RocketBoy universe. | |
| Designer, developer, artist | Not Bad | Trying out various OneThumb idea's, Rocketboy was the second idea. It actually started with you moving from the bottom to the top, after doing a test run (with cheats on) I reached the top and tried to go down.. Apparently the moving down the shaft was more challenging, so the game was turned around | |
| Design, development, and Arts | Average | First game where I tinkered with designing my own sound effects, pretty pleased with it myself (concidering the limitations). Akira was devloped because I got tiered of coming up with various new game designs that would fit mobile phones. I wanted something easy where I could focus on the content, so a platformer is the best choice for that ;) Pretty pleased with the looks and gameplay, and I figured the new phones would be able to handle all the graphical bells and whistles. The hair, eyes and cape all move seperatly, making the character come more to life. Funny note: I had send the small pixel art to the artists for creating the highres logo, she had seen a little white thingie behind the main player as a cape.. after seeing this cool cape in the highres I implemented it in the game.. The cape originally was a cloud behind the player ;) |
