What was profound was the in-game map making system, almost like being in the game. Unique weapons, super fast paced bunny-hopping madness.
One of the most amazing 3 team games every conceived. Played at LANS, being the Alien took you beyond game design, being able to run up walls... what ever happened, the movies still kept coming, but the game???

True 3D Gameplay
Amazing levels, unending size, great weapons, vehicles, profound strategic thinking, always a way to gain advantage
Played though the single player game, really enjoyed it, wonderful to get back to Tribes freedom of play

Great Games that kept me gaming
I liked how you could set mines then change roles, and do something else and have them both function to get you kills.
Some of the level design was... well Unreal! Great fun, really a race on CTF, and that inspired me. I think I pwned a bit too much on this game. lol I felt guilty for the noobs quiting.
Good fun of pwnin and being pwned. Like the play on loading up 6 rockets and letting people have the full load.
Crazy AI this game throws at you. Serious fun
Fun, so real, like being right in the war, such a reality check of war/life/death.
HL2 is so much like our Pits, (puzzles) makes me wonder if valve should do our pits! lol :) Frustrating - but I got through all HL2, but Episode 1, well I got stuck in that water room with the electric switch and never got back to it.
Games that stick out
There are still many profound elements to this game. This is when I became a "game designer" after I saw where the market was going.
Sat down and played this start to finish. Enjoyed it. Nice to get into the new engine
Too many hours playing this. So frustrating to play, but so rewarding to win!
This was my introduction to video games. Rune Quake CTF is still my favorite gameplay. I still see this game in my head! This was Quake's best Rocket Launcher.
MMO's that changed me profoundly
was a revelation to in game economy systems, and the power of pets. This was the first game I was inspired to max my Character. My Daughter (just 6 years old) almost kept up with me!
A good game, but still usual MMO. Best thing was the people, and so many girls playing. Loved the mounted play, and the worlds and the rides. I like lots of color, and WOW really encouraged me to keep that up.
Played with my Daughter, that made grinding bearable. Cute game, too much being lost!
