Raveness
Greetings fellow gaming enthusiasts, I'm Raveness, 25 years old and reside in Vancouver, BC. Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, moved to Canada in 1998.
I am currently employed as a legal assistant at an injury and malpractice firm. I plan to continue my education at UBC in order to become a lawyer in the realm of civil law.
I'm a bit of a travel junkie, especially know with more available funds. I have been to such countries as Ireland, Italy, France, Greece, Romania, Japan, and the US extensively.
Co-run a fansite for Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, also prominent figure within online Lovecraft community.
My life as a geeky gaming gal began with the Super Nintendo. I enjoyed the Super Mario's and the Legend of Zelda's, along with the Street Fighter's and the Metroid's. Sure I had the family's Apple IIE to play with, and passively enjoyed Lode Runner, Karateka, Secret Agent, but my true love affair with games began with the words "Guten Tag!".
Wolfenstein 3D really astounded me, and solidified gaming as a big hobby of mine. I enjoyed games throughout the 90's such as Myst, Diablo, Master of Orion, Age of Empires, Warcraft, Thief, Jedi Knight, Quake, various LucasArts adventures, and so on. The new millennium has kept me rolling, and I generally stick to the FPS, RPG, and Adventure genres.

Luckily I was wrong.
Great to meet someone so well travelled!
Have to say, I love your pre-wolfenstein selection the best, but that's just me :) Metroid 2D rules!

The art and creatures are really cool. Atmosphere is excellent and it's scary when you have no weapons...really gets the adrenaline pumping. A very visceral game. My only complaint is the weapons. Although they are authentic weapons from the 1920's, the game could have provided more weapon customization although that's not a real biggy because you can play the game any style you choose whether it be trigger-happy or via stealth.
I suggest anyone who reads this play the game if you haven't already. You won't regret it ;)
