Member of Radical Poesis Games and Creations, an independent game development group which makes freeware and (soon) shareware. I'm also the co-founder of the Heroists, an internationalist group of artists seeking to promote life-affirming values through the arts.

I'm just starting out in independent game development. I used to create games for the OHRRPGCE, now I create games for the Game Maker.

My focus is on the empirical study of how games affect people, and I aim to make games that affect people in the most positive manner possible. The core of this is my belief that art plays an essentially epistemological role in culture, it's an anchor of parts of a worldview, it helps a person better understand essentials and universals, to see what's important and what isn't, what's beautiful and what isn't, etc.

Note: Some of the games I list as having developed were actually developed by Orchard-L, but he doesn't yet have an account here (because the site takes too long to load on his 2800 baud modem in Indonesia) so I'm listing them in his stead.

This is the game that inspired me to create my own tower defense game, Immortal Defense, so I like it even though it's really primitive.1181166225
I recommend changing your tag to game maker rather than gamemaker -- it's what's used for most game maker games on this site so more people would be likely to find it.1174718233
This game is already listed by the developer, I'm not sure it needs two listings...1173007913
Very impressive list of games there, I'll have to try some of them out. I have played NBA JAM for the SNES, it was actually the only sports game I've ever really liked.1170930380
Yeah, I don't like that they cut down the list. You can probably just list them manually.1170812537
I agree that no story is better than a cheesy story, but if it's forever without story it detracts a bit from the game, because I don't really know what I am, what I'm doing, what the things are that I'm killing, or why I'm killing them. BTW, indygamer.blogspot.com reviewed Forces; it's a short review, but hopefully it'll help popularize the game. I didn't notice the radar bubbles, I should be more observant.1170707283
IT'S POKEY!!1170693320
Sorry to hear Purgatory crashed on you -- the Ohrrpgce isn't really a great engine. That's why I moved to the Game Maker.1170547720
You spelled defense wrong btw -- not in the title, I mean in the tags (I assume the title is intentional).1170524443
The server that Purgatory is hosted on goes up and down, I probably should host it on a different server.1170524288
