I'm a relatively unknown freeware game developer with vague aspirations to make it into the industry at some point. Preferabley as a small, independent team since the corporate environment would suck whatever joy I gain from the process of game creation.

I focus primarily on design and the creativity therein. As an example I could summarize a few of my games as such: A space shump where players construct their own ship out of lines. An RPG where the player attacks by drawing spells directly on the enemies. An adventure game where players have to figure out an alien language from computer panels. A platformer where the player draws their own platforms with the mouse.

I have a high focus on the interface the player utilizes while playing a game. Many PC developers blindly try to attribute the mouse to everything just because it's there. I carefully consider the feeling it provides to the player. Clicking to move a character would detach the player from actually being the character since for several moments the character moves without any intervention on their part. But using the mouse to draw something would keep the player attached since the character is directly drawing something, as in the game. Pressing a single button to climb a ladder would detach the player from the character once again, but if they had to press and hold that button it would give a feeling to the player as it is to climb that ladder.

I also have fair experience with programming, but it's mostly limited to scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python. I could probably adapt to a more traditional language such as C++ if necessary, but given the extra headaches such languages bring I would only do so if the game absolutley required it. I also have limited directorial skills, having directed multiple people online for most of the various games I have made. The largest team I've ever directed was around six or so. No "real life" experience was applied to any of these projects and obviously directing people is very different in the two environments.
