Sascha Willems
I'm a hobbyist game developer from germany making games in Delphi (in earlier years with Pascal) for some years now, including some well-known freeware games and demos for the Newton Game Dynamics Engine.
I like all aspects of developing games not just coding. Therefore I also do all other aspects of making games, like creating 3D models, making textures and so on.
And I also like to have others see what I'm currently working on so maybe give my developement blog a try where I post updates on my current developement progress.
If you're a fellow pascal developer (no matter if it's Borland's Delphi, Free Pascal or any other pascal compiler) freel free to join the Pascal Game Developers group.

Born to lose, Live to win
| Game | What I Did | Difficulty of Development | Anecdote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Everything | Average | Developed in 2003 | |
| Everything | Harder than Planned | Developed during 2005 This was an entry for a programming competition and therefore I was confronted with having to submit it by a certain deadline (which isn't usual for a hobbyist developer). The game itself was pretty straightforward to develop but creating a somewhat nice-to-play flight model wasn't that easy cause I haven't had very much experience with physics when I started this project. But in the end it turned out rather well and placed 2nd during the competition. Graphics and sound worked out the way I wanted but the flight-model could have needed some more tweaking as well as the network mode. | |
| Everything | Average | Developed during 2004 The developement itself was pretty straight-forwards. Somehow I really wanted to remake Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine as it was one of my all-time faves during the time with my Sega MegaDrive. Note : No beans were harmed during the developement! | |
| Everything | Average | Developement started in 2006 and planed until late 2007/early 2008 This game is kind of a prestige project as my friends and me used (and still use to) joke about world domination. So at some day I decided to create a game where you can exactly do that, take over the whole world. The game is still under developement but a demo is close on the horizon. |
