Lead DesignerHarder than PlannedCinematics were a constant problem - originally intended to be real-time, we began encountering syncing issues with sounds and events. We decided to playback pre-recorded videos of the cutscenes instead. Unfortunately, after spending one month and attempting to use several file formats with varying degrees of (poor) success, we were forced to concede defeat, putting our programmers on the syncing issues and fixing them in the very last week of development! In the end, they were real-time, but not after a very long and torturous amount of time.
