I've programmed in Visual Basic for years and have also done ActionScript for some while. I lead RedHammer which made the "Subliminal Messages" series on Newgrounds (18+ only, sorry kiddies), and I currently lead WkSyndicate(.com) and am doing the audio for IImod(.com)
