Two decades of gaming and still going strong. I prefer a good RPG or FPS, but I've been known to dabble a little of everything. I have preference to neither platform nor genre. I cut my teeth on Super Mario Bros., but realize that Nintendo's masterpiece isn't the end all of all things gaming.
I am on the cusp between relatively normal and the ubergeek, which means although I have seen all the Lord of the Rings films multiple times, I don't sit at home in a darkened room making lists about the things Peter Jackson left out and how much better it would have been had he just left it alone.
I read, I write, I play the guitar, I go to school, I work and on the weekends I like to drink a beer or two while listening to sad country music...in the dark....by myself....crying. Or watch a baseball game....it really just depends.

XBL Gamertag
Games I've recently picked up
Halo, Halo 3! Story is short, but the game is beautiful, the campaign multiplayer is nearly perfect and the online MM are just a few of the reasons this game freakin' rocks. Yeah, the XBL community for this game kind of sucks, but the great times you'll have sticking enemies, lasering banshees and sneaking off headshots from across the map more than make up for the shortcomings of the Halo 3 tribe.
A better Final Fantasy than Final Fantasy. It's a little slow to get into, but once you do...whoa boy, it's a fantastically fun game. Spread across four discs, this one is definitely a keeper and one I'm sure to revisit time and time again.
Excellent game. The peripherals out of the box, for the most part, are crap, but a couple of tweaks, a return or two and everything is almost perfect. DLC coming out almost every week along with periodic game play updates keeps the game fresh and new. Go, Go, Harmonix!
Love, love, love this game. Sure the side missions are a bit repetitive, but I don't think following someone down a deserted alleyway to beat the crap out of them ever gets old.
Single campaign is nice, but ridiculously hard in some places.
Great game. Great story. Great characters. Lousy fluff missions, however, give this game a serious black eye.
It's no Rock Band, but it'll do in a pinch.
Widescreen "issues" and activation problems aside, this one is definately a keeper. Great visuals, great voice acting and just a fantastic creepy vibe that really gets you in those late night gaming sessions.
I love this game. And although it feels like a chore sometimes to get into it, I always have fun once I do.
A mix of Pikmin and Dungeon Master I believe is how the boys at Penny Arcade described this one and, like usual, they are right on the money. I'd like to add Pikmin without all the cutesy crap. I've said it elsewhere, but there is something so incredibly satisfying about watching a minion pick up a cleaver and then leap to bury it in the head of the nearest enemy all at the flick of your little finger. That and that horn thing to call all your minions back.....awesome. I wish I had one of those to wear everyday at work. "So, how was your weekend? Mine was...." BoooooooooooomBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! "I WAS SAYING....!" BoooooooooooBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Awesome.
I absolutely love this game. The story sucks, the game is relatively short and the "bosses" (once you make any significant progress in the game) are pushovers, but it's big giant sandbox for me to root around in and that I dig quite a bit. I surely bought this for the Halo 3 beta invite, but I have to say, I would have bought this one anyway, no doubt about it.
My nephew is a big LOTR freak and while I enjoy the movies, books and games, I'll admit I cannot tell you the name of the second cousin of the first sister's daughter to the fourth true King of Gondor. I'm also not big on RTS games of any provance, but this one I kind of dig.
My current kick. Gearing up for the Halo 3 multiplayer beta. Stop by XBL and play a round or twenty with me. You too can tell me how much I suck and throw racial/sexual slurs my direction while screaming out random non sequitors.
Yeah, I play it....so what? I've got all 50 achievements as well. You want to make fun of me? Go ahead. I've got a Fizzlybear I want you to meet.
