Yannick Lahay
As you should already know... my name is Yannick! (wow...)
But what you don't know is I live in Paris, and this is very important to know that! (well, maybe not...) :p
Since I'm 4 I play video games! (I'm 26...) lol
I started playing Game & Watch, Colecovision, Intellivision, ... I spent much time playing Donkey Kong, with Jumpman (nowadays known as Mario...).
On a Thomson T05 I developed my first game which was a simple labyrinth, then I practiced game programming on a CPC6128.
At that time, 1 person could develop an entire game...
I always wanted to work in the game industry, that's why I played and analyzed a lot of games and read many books and articles about the gaming industry.
Also I learned electronics, 3D modeling, 3D animation, 3D programming basics, character design, level design, cognitive psychology, project management, ... I really wanted to be ready for the game industry, and my goal is to become a professional game designer.
I'm currently working on 2 games: Reverse (a racing game developed with some students from Epitech, using the Ogre3D Engine), and my own game developed with the Torque Game Engine.
About music: I played drums in some bands in Paris, and I grew up listening to Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, ...
So since I'm 14 maybe, I compose some electronic music.
Now my sources of inspiration are guys like Aphex Twin, Manu Le Malin, Takkyu Ishino, Vitalic, Jeff Mills, and much more!

GAME OVER Oh nooooooo!!!
These are the best games I've ever played.
This game is awesome... This is a mix between a puzzle game and a shooting game, and I think the result is very well done! There are many levels, the difficulty is very well managed, the elebits are tiny, and you can do what you want with the environment.
The tiniest MMORPG ever made!
Flashback was, and is still a great game! The story, the graphics, and the gameplay are still very good! This is one of the best storytelling games I've played so far.
I love Metal Slug, for its humor, pixel art, characters, weapons, and sound effects. This game has no rival!
I think SFII is one of the biggest sequel in the game world, nothing to do with the 1st opus! And it has been a great source of inspiration for many games! The characters design is excellent, the special attacks too!
