I started the OpenArena project in 2005. Before that, it was just lame-o small Quake mod stuffs spanning back to 1996. Well at least I don't try to turn those into crappy 'standalone games'....

| This game was cool. The only things that got in the way were the Q2 engine's own annoyances limiting the potential (10fps netcode and animation, unavoidable oversaturated dull lighting, Win32-only gamecode) and the loading screen that seems to have a broken wait function. | 1179906533 | |

| I remember this game. It was horrible (with lethal exploit bugs such as switching teams on a whim without respawning) and caused some controversy amongst the Quake community as it stole snippets of GPL'd Quake code from QuakeSRC tutorials without credit nor was there any source opened. (FRIK_FILE by FrikaC is a good and obvious one, used for stats processing to external file) Their second game CIA Operative: Solo Missions uses a questionable remarkably similar shader system perfect compatible with Quake3 shader syntax...
